When people book motorcycle transport

What does motorcycle transport cost?

Check the insurance rating on the quote before booking. Silver means the provider holds Goods in Transit cover for items while they are in the van, and Gold adds Public Liability on top. On a motorbike this is worth more attention than it would be on a wardrobe, so look for the badge rather than assuming.
Someone needs to be at both ends to hand the bike over and sign for it, but it does not have to be you. Put the name and number of whoever will be there in the booking notes so the driver can contact them directly.
Run the fuel low, make sure the battery has enough charge to move the bike under its own power onto the ramp if needed, fold or remove loose mirrors and screens, and take the panniers and top box off. Photograph the bike from every angle before it is loaded, which takes two minutes and settles any argument about a scratch afterwards.
Usually yes, but say so in the booking description. A bike that cannot be ridden onto the van needs a second person and often a winch or a proper ramp, and a provider who is not set up for that will struggle on the day. Flag it up front and you will be matched with someone who can handle it.
