I'm really greatfull to Oban, who helped me on 11th of september to transfer goods form Canterbury to Brigthton. He carefully took goods from apartment in Canterbury and transferred them to flat in Brighton. He was very punctual, attentive and polite. Thank you to him!

Unfortunately arrival was two hours after the arranged time and without me making contact I would have heard nothing. However, we had accumulated everything outside and ready to load. When he did arrive, he worked well and whole job only two hours, no stairs were involved after all and the two hours he was late were made up!

Although Aiden and Sezgo took great care of my belongings and were friendly and helpful during the storage move, the communication and final price were unsatisfactory. They had not called me beforehand. I had booked a Luton van for 9–10am and approximately 3 hours of work (with the option to pay £30 for every additional half hour). When I called them at 8am, they told me in broken English that they had another customer and would not arrive until 12pm. I explained this was not acceptable, as I had work at 2pm. After I sent them a text message with my complaint, they suddenly shared their live location above the river in Marylebone and said they would arrive at my storage at 9:25am. They first drove to Big Yellow and sent me a photo, then finally arrived at Shurgard at 9:38am. We had a strong start emptying my rather large, fully filled storage box. They brought large courier-style plastic bags and quickly carried down the loose items, taking good care of my belongings. One man stayed upstairs, the other downstairs, while I helped with trolleys and instructions. However, there were several moments when they were resting and smoking, when I felt we could have kept up the pace by working together on both the ground floor and the 3rd floor. Also, Aiden, who owns the company, was constantly on the phone, which slowed down the trips. At one point, they mentioned they had another customer at 12pm, and with the amount of my items, they would not make it on time. Although everything could have fit in the van, they were unwilling to take the couches out, and we had to leave behind two designer dining chairs, a clothing rack, and some shelves. I called Shurgard HQ to ask if they could keep an eye on them, but since there is no reception or office there, I felt uneasy leaving items unsecured. When we arrived at the new storage three minutes down the road, they were still on the phone, and at one point asked me to call a lady on their behalf (because my English is fluent). I ended up speaking with an angry customer whose 9am booking I had apparently taken, and who needed to vacate their property by 4pm after cleaning. The movers then suggested leaving my belongings on the ground floor at the new storage and coming back later in the afternoon, which I did not accept. They eventually made the trip back to the old storage down the road for the remaining items, and we finished after 4.5 hours in total. Another team had declined the (morning) job further south, so they had to rush to get there and left the trolleys scattered on the ground floor and had put their empty coffee cups on top of a wall at the entrance. We had a disagreement about the payment, as Aiden wanted to charge me for 5.5 hours. I explained that it was 14:15, not 15:15, and that I should not be billed for the unnecessary trip down the road. On top of that, I had bought them iced lattes. I believe the extra time was partly their fault, and spending £90 more than expected is never pleasant. I would recommend their service, but I strongly suggest clear communication and getting all details in writing before the move. It was stressful, but I am very relieved it is done and that nothing was damaged

Couldn't be better. Nothing was a problem and everything was transfered in no time.
